finPOWER Connect 4.01.00 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of finPOWER Connect version 4.01.00 dated 29 April 2024.

This is a major release, including updated database and many new features. Please take your time reviewing the changes before upgrading.

Some of the highlights are:

  • PayTo
    • Australian "PayTo" payment standards are now supported for Zepto (formally Split Payments) in finPOWER Connect and finPOWER Connect Cloud.
    • This includes (but not limited to):
  • Accounts
    • Account User Data columns on the database increased from 10 to 20 fields.
    • Floating Rate Loans
      • Contractual Overdue is now restricted to the Loan Balance.
    • Payment Arrangements
      • Quote Document can now be downloaded or emailed from the "Payment Details" page.
      • "Missed Regular Payments" functionality has been added.
        • Process Payment Arrangement Promise Transactions Script "AP.PAPROM" has been updated to support this. It is essential that the latest version is being used if switching on the "Missed Regular Payments" functionality.
    • Account Processes
      • Removed "Allow Optimisation?" option from the User Interface.
      • Added option to Automatically Disable Users.
    • Process Direct Debits
      • Alternative Commit process added to better handle database concurrency issues.
  • Clients
    • Client User Data columns on the database increased from 10 to 20 fields.
    • Web Passwords; "Expiry Days" and "History Length" options are now supported. Similar settings as User Policies for Users.
    • Preferred Multi-Factor Authentication for Portals can now be specified.
  • Credit Bureaus
    • InfoAgent
      • Updated to the latest specifications. This introduces information about Electric Vehicles and Road User Charges in the Fuel Economy section.
    • CentrixNZ
      • Biometric product updated to v1.043 specification.
  • Client Connect Sample Portal
    • Removed from the finPOWER Connect installer. For new installations, please contact your Intersoft Dealer.
    • Theme Overhaul
  • Task Manager 2
    • "Filter Monitored Accounts" type folders; Additional advanced option now available to all Users.
    • Quick Search folders; Columns are now sortable.
  • Quick Search 2
    • Now supports indexing and searching of Bank Account and Credit Card Numbers.
    • Reporting; Many Account reports can now be pre-filtered using Quick Search
  • HTML Widgets
    • New Calendar control
    • Calendar Edit HTML Widget is now available.
    • Client Group Edit HTML Widget is now available.
    • Can now be used as Summary Pages for Accounts and Clients in finPOWER Connect Cloud.
  • Portals
    • Multi-Factor Authentication; New option to "Prevent User from changing" the defaulted "Defer Days".
    • Password Reset
      • Procedure now allows a Client to enter their Client Id / Web User Id to cater for databases where more than one Client has the same email address.
      • Page can now be overridden with a custom Page.
  • Script Editor
    • Actipro Software Component; Updated to version 24.1
    • Multi-part Export and Import now supported for Scripts & Portals.
    • Scripts can be automatically saved when run.
    • Template Text; Can now use "#include" directives to include a "Function Library" Script's Template Text
  • Business Layer
    • Ability to Add/Update/Delete records in Custom database tables has been added.
    • Debug Window; Usability enhancements
    • finPOWER Connect Cloud Actions; Prompt messages can now be configured to show prior to a Script running.
  • Branches
    • A standard built-in Key Details Summary Page for Branches has been added.
  • Users
    • Deactivated and Deleted Users are now prevented from continuing working within 30 seconds (was 10 seconds).
  • Documents
    • Utility function added to publish an ad-hoc Document and return it's binary file data.
  • Summary Pages
    • Standard Summary Page blocks; a new block to include a static Google Map has been added.
  • Workflows
    • Item Groups can now have automatic outcomes of [All Skipped] or [Any Skipped].
  • Gembox
    • Document software component; updated to version 35.0.35.1673
    • Email software component; updated to version 17.0.35.1194
    • Spreadsheet software component; updated to version 49.0.35.1623
  • Permissions
    • Standardised, i.e. renamed, Permission Keys. This includes adding a new "Alias" Key.
  • finPOWER Connect Cloud
    • Device option to allow 'NEW User Interface' to be trialed.
    • Dropdown Calendar styling has been updated.
    • Grids with custom layouts (such as Account Transactions) now display available layouts in a bar above the grid.
    • Reporting view; The "Downloads" grid now displays a "Visualise" option when supporting Reports have been run, allowing Report data to be viewed independently of the PDF.
    • Search in the header can now be used even if a minimised modal form exists.
    • On Mobile devices, setting "Device Options" to use "Desktop" will now show dropdowns by default, rather than "picker panels".

      • Transactions page; New system views added.
    • Clients
      • Web Access
        • Password can now be cleared for a Client in finPOWER Connect Cloud.
        • Now shows new "Preferred" MFA Method details
      • Statistics page; Adding a new Statistics Set now prompts to default from the last "Approved" set.
    • Administration
      • Calendars added in finPOWER Connect Cloud.
      • Client Groups added in finPOWER Connect Cloud
    • Security Statements
      • Files page; Now shows Security Item files.
      • New "Add Log for Security Item" button below grid.
    • Task Manager 2
      • User Preference to show Task Manager upon sign-in is now respected.
    • Reporting
      • Filter boxes added for "My List", "Utilities", and "Scripts" tabs.
    • finPOWER Connect Cloud Configuration
      • Security page; CSP entries added to cater for Microsoft Power BI.
      • Multi-Factor; You can now specify an "Issuer" for "Authenticator App" Multi-Factor Authentication to better support multiple sites.
  • Web Services
    • User Requests updated to query the database less aggressively.
    • Scheduled Processes; Now pick up changes to Global Settings, User Preferences and other settings.
    • External Widget Host
      • Can now access Apex Charts.
      • Can now accept parameters passed as the URL such as startupParametersJson.
